Mia Slayford aka Pigtails is a creative brain, pop artist, singer, songwriter and fully confessed sensitive. Born in Australia + based out of Rome Italy after years of living + working in LA, Milan and Stockholm singing live, writing, recording, teaching, working on TV and more, Pigtails has gone through massive transformations personally and creatively all while doing a huge dance of peeling back the layers.
ABOUT ME
When I was little I fell in love with performing and singing and the obsession was real. I had my first paid gig singing on TV when I was 6, performing the anthem for national and International events. Fast forward to now, I've worked as a Pop Recording artist, performer and teacher all around the world- Australia, U.K, Sweden, Amsterdam, Italy + U.S.A. My debut single "I won't cry" under artist name Mia Milan- was featured on hit Australian T.V series and winner for Voice On Music festival in Rome. I was the first Aussie to appear on hit TV show 'Amici' in Italy. As a songwriter I've worked with P.J Bianco (Jonas brothers, Nick Jonas, Mya), Nuno Bettencourt (Extreme, Rhianna), Boyd Wilson (The Fingerprints, Living Daylights), Ben Lee, Windy Wagner (Glee, Britney Spears, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus), Michael Jay (Celine Dion, Eminem, Kylie Minogue) . I starred in an episode of ‘House hunters international’ on HGTV filmed in Milan Italy & Stockholm Sweden to an estimated audience of 20 million viewers worldwide. My single 'In my head' was featured on MTV sparked new. My debut pop album is coming out soooon.
